Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW) is seeking a skilled Cable Harness Design Engineer in Coimbatore to design, develop, and validate cable harness assemblies for electronic and embedded systems. The role covers routing, connector selection, PCB interfacing, BOM preparation, and manufacturing support.

The candidate will collaborate with PCB design, embedded hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams, ensuring compliance with standards and supporting prototype through production release.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop wiring harnesses and cable assemblies based on customer and product requirements.
• Select connectors, terminals, wires, seals, sleeves, ferrites, and related electrical components.
• Define PCB-to-harness interconnections and interface requirements.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, wiring diagrams, interconnection drawings, and assembly documents.
• Select appropriate crimping applicators, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
• Work closely with PCB design, embedded hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure compliance with product standards, quality requirements, and manufacturing guidelines.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation, and production release.
• Perform cable routing, wire sizing, voltage drop calculations, and derating analysis.
• Troubleshoot harness-related issues during development and production stages.
• Coordinate with suppliers for component qualification and sourcing activities.
