Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY TECHNOLOGY SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a C&P Hardware Design Engineer for HVDC service in Chennai. You will design, develop, and maintain control and protection hardware for HVDC converters, including PCBs, power supplies, and I/O modules, and prepare detailed specifications and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7 to 12 years of hardware design experience for power electronics/HVDC.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and comms protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, IEC 61850).
• Proficiency with PCB design tools and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Experience with testing and debugging hardware, FAT/SAT, and adherence to standards.
