Job summary

American Megatrends is seeking a C++-Linux Engineer to join our embedded systems team in Chennai. You will work on advanced Linux internals, system calls, IPC, sockets, and multi-threading with a focus on reliability and performance.

Knowledge of Systemd, D-BUS, and embedded toolchains is essential. The role requires hands-on development experience, familiarity with Yocto/BitBake, and version control (Git/SVN).

C++ -Linux Engineer

Mandatory Skills

• Advanced C programming
• Strong knowledge of C++ and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Hands-on experience in Embedded Systems development
• Strong understanding of Linux Internals, including:
  • System calls
  • Inter-Process Communication (IPC)
  • Socket programming
  • POSIX multi-threaded programming
• Experience with Systemd and D-BUS

Desirable Skills

• Linux system start-up and U-Boot
• System management protocols: IPMI, Redfish, MCTP, PLDM
