Job summary

Golden Opportunities in Chennai is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer focusing on C++ development in real-time environments. The role requires hands-on Linux proficiency and exposure to RTOS platforms in a tightly integrated hardware-software setting.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years overall experience with at least 3+ years in embedded/RTOS projects, strong OOP and data structures knowledge, and be comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years overall software experience.
• 3+ years relevant embedded software/RTOS experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using C++ in embedded and real-time environments.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts such as encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and Linux-based application development.
• Work with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, QNX, VxWorks, or similar real-time operating systems.
• Develop multithreaded and concurrent applications with strong knowledge of synchronization mechanisms.
• Work on IPC, processes, threads, sockets, and system-level programming.
• Perform software debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and C++ programming concepts.
• Use tools such as Git, GDB, CMake/Make, and debugging/profiling tools for development and testing.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable embedded and real-time software solutions.
