Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Sr. Buyer in Bangalore to drive procurement activities across departments, ensure timely and cost-effective inventory acquisitions, and support RFQs and change orders in ERP systems.

You will analyze requirements, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain supplier performance data. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience, proficiency in ERP tools like SAP/Oracle, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 2+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge or experience in ERP or MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other procurement tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions and quotations for materials, components, capital equipment and services.
• Manage purchase orders and changes based on demand.
• Understand, maintain, and report weekly KPI's.

The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as a Buyer, you play a pivotal role in our procurement process. You analyze purchase requirements and coordinate purchasing activities across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory. You'll support processing purchase requisitions, change orders, and quotes (RFQs) from suppliers. Engaging in cost analysis and volume planning within our enterprise-wide systems (ERPs), you negotiate for the best value and explore new supply sources for cost-saving. Your expertise ensures Lam's procurement remains efficient and competitive on a global scale.

• Working knowledge or experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other procurement related tools.
• Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• This is a graduate eligible role.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech industries.
• Foundational understanding of commodity market indicators and technical data.
• Excellent negotiation skills to achieve best value pricing.
