Job summary

NatWest Group is seeking a Business Risk Data Engineer at VP level in India to design, develop and implement data-driven solutions that support information security and customer needs. You will build automated processes that protect private bank information and monitor data quality, integrity and security, reporting clearly to influence strategic decisions by key stakeholders.

You will simplify processes through ETL design and implement reusable, scalable data tools.

• Design, develop, and implement innovative data-driven solutions to ensure information security and support customer needs
• You’ll build automated processes that protect private bank information and monitor the quality, integrity, and security of data
• You’ll ensure data is accurately reported and properly communicated to influence strategic decisions by key stakeholders

What you'll do

As a Business Risk Data Engineer, you’ll simplify processes by developing innovative data-driven solutions through Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) design and implementation. You’ll model and automate solutions that remove manual labour, showcase commercial success, and keep customer and company data safe and secure.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Embedding new data techniques and implementing automated AI-driven processes
• Solving complex business problems by creating appropriate, reusable, and scalable tools to gather and build data solutions
• Delivering clear data reports for proactive risk detection and supporting data accessibility to the wider Business Risk unit
• Developing robust solutions for monitoring quality and integrity of our data driven solutions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Business Risk for strategic direction

The skills you’ll need

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a strong understanding of AWS products and tooling for data usage and dependencies. Ideally, you’ll have experience extracting value and features from large scale data.You’ll also bring practical experience of programming languagesand data software engineering fundamentals.

Additionally, you’ll need:

• Experience of ETL technical design, data sourcing, data modelling and data visualisation
• Strong understanding of modern code development practices and version control
• Experience of process automation using AI tools
• Knowledge of risk management and information security
• Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively engage and manage a wide range of stakeholders
