Avaya seeks a Business Planning Analyst II in Pune, India to manage end-to-end procurement operations, financial controls, and vendor governance for software, hardware, MTCE, and labor services. Qualifications

  • Experience with contract and SOW analysis.
  • Experience in financial forecasting and cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Advanced analytical capability and comfort with ambiguous finance structures such as profit centers, MJEs, and GR/IR imbalances.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end purchase requisition and purchase order process in Coupa and SAP, including maintenance of the internal SOW tracker.
  • Review SOWs, quotes, country codes, currencies, cost centers, and customer contracts to support margin approval, profit center alignment, and budget validation.
  • Handle forecasting, planning, cost-benefit analysis, accruals, prepaid amortization reporting, and capital management activities, including Asset ID creation and activation compliance.
  • Monitor blocked invoices, GR/IR imbalances, and daily goods receipts, working with Accounts Payable, project managers, and suppliers to resolve tax, entity, and payment issues.
  • Support MTCE and OEM renewals, run eRFP/RFI processes with Global Strategic Sourcing, and coordinate internal SOW review with Legal, Tax, and Day 2 teams.
  • Track specialized procurement programs, including international procured labor, Feet on the Street site support, OEM activity, and subscription/overage licensing verification.
  • Review after-the-fact compliance reports above $20K and elevate urgent issues such as missing customer records, inventory concerns, and expedited PO requests.
  • Audit monthly metrics for specialized business lines, including supplier usage overages, logs, and procured labor counts.

About the Role

This position manages procurement operations, financial compliance, and vendor governance for third-party software, hardware, maintenance (MTCE), and labor services. It covers the full lifecycle from requisition through purchase order tracking, with an emphasis on accurate controls and process discipline. The role works across Delivery, Sales, Finance, Global Strategic Sourcing, and external suppliers to keep commercial terms aligned, protect margins, and support cost reduction efforts. It also helps maintain service readiness while reducing financial and audit exposure. Day to day, the work includes forecasting, invoice review, contract renewal support, specialized procurement tracking, and fast resolution of operational escalations. It is well suited to someone who can move between detailed administrative work and cross-functional problem solving.

Key Responsibilities
