Job summary

Capgemini in Bengaluru is seeking a Looker BI Engineer with 4+ years of experience to build and maintain LookML models, dashboards, and reports. You will optimize data models, write efficient SQL, and collaborate with data engineers to translate requirements into scalable BI solutions.

You will develop visualisations using Looker capabilities, enforce data governance, and provide training to end-users on data interpretation and Looker usage.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience creating LookML models and dashboards.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in BigQuery.
• Experience with LookML scripting and Looker dashboard development.
• Basic understanding of GCP and data governance concepts.
• Knowledge of ETL using Python is a plus.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Provide training and support to end-uses on how to use looker and interpret data visualisation

Stay updated with Looker's latest features, updates and best practices to continuously improve BI solutions

Coordinate with data engineers and developers to resolve complex technical/data issues to support BI initiatives

Participate in meetings to discuss systems enhancements, upgrades, or new requirements

Identify opportunities for process automation, performance enhancements, or efficiency gains within Looker environments

Propose and implement improvements to optimize system reliability and user satisfaction

Technical Skill

Must have experience SQL writing skills, Bigquery is plus

Must have experience on LookML scripting/Looker Dashboard development
