Amazon seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer for ShipTech to transform large-scale logistics data into actionable insights. You will partner with BIEs, DEs, and SDEs to build scalable BI solutions, dashboards, and reports, enabling data-driven decision making across global operations.
The role emphasizes an AI-first approach, fast delivery, and cross-functional collaboration to improve transportation visibility and operational efficiency.
Shiptech Visibility team is responsible to deliver end-to-end supply chain visibility by blending telemetry data from multiple sources-IoT sensors, GPS trackers, EDI feeds, and carrier APIs with varying accuracy into high-confidence contextual milestones. We eliminate visibility gaps across the logistics network and enable businesses to operate with real-time exception management and shipment predictability. We provide high-fidelity tracking signals with geofencing capabilities, accurate EDD predictions, and contextual shipment milestone updates. We secure today's small parcel operations while building tomorrow's inter-modal connectivity infrastructure.
The ideal candidate relishes working with large volumes of data, enjoys the challenge of highly complex business contexts, and, above all else, is passionate about data and analytics. The candidate is an expert with business intelligence tools and passionately partners with the business to identify strategic opportunities where data-backed insights drive value creation. An effective communicator, the candidate crisply translates analysis result into executive-facing business terms. The candidate works aptly with internal and external teams to push the projects across the finishing line. The candidate is a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoys working in a fast-paced and global team.
