Job summary

NTT DATA Global Delivery Services Ltd is seeking a Business Intelligence Advisor SAS Developer in Bengaluru. The role focuses on designing and delivering SAS-based BI solutions, including data analysis, reporting, and real-time data movement across multiple sources.

You will participate in requirement sessions, develop scalable data processes, and collaborate with DBAs in an agile environment to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years delivering solutions using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 5+ years of experience using SAS and advanced SQL.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement gathering sessions.
• Design and develop SAS processes to meet customer needs, including Excel/PDF reports using Base SAS.
• Perform data analysis, data collection, synthesis, and translation of results into actionable solutions using SAS.
• Develop scalable data solutions to move data across systems from multiple sources in real time and in batch modes.
• Evaluate data quality issues by analyzing upstream sources and guiding resolutions.
• Provide production support and fixes to defects and enhancements for SAS applications.
• Communicate incident resolutions clearly for production support.
• Collaborate in agile environments following XP and Scrum methodologies.
• Work closely with DBAs to fix performance bottlenecks.

Business Intelligence Advisor SAS Developer

Job Responsibilities include:

• Participate in requirement gathering sessions.
• Apply advanced skills, knowledge, and experience to design and develop efficient SAS processes to meet customer needs, including development of Excel and PDF reports using Base SAS.
• Data analysis, including data collection, synthesis, and translation of results into concrete actionable solutions using SAS.
• Develop scalable and reliable data solutions to move data across systems from multiple sources in real time as well as in batch modes.
• Quickly evaluate data quality issues by analyzing the upstream sources and providing guidance on resolutions.
• Support SAS applications, including providing fixes to production defects and making enhancements.
• Provide production support and communicate clearly on the resolution of incidents.
• Work in collaborative environments that follow agile project management methodologies such as XP and Scrum.
• Work closely with DBAs to fix performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience delivering solutions using the Software Development Life Cycle.
• 5+ years of experience using SAS and advanced SQL.
• Strong data analytical skills using complex data sources, including databases and text data files.
• Conceptual understanding of logical and physical data models: a must; practical experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a 24×7 setting as either on-call or an escalation contact.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior business and technical IT management.
