Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Advisor in Bangalore to lead data engineering initiatives. You will build ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Python/Scala, and SQL, while ensuring data quality, lineage, and observability.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders, mentor engineers, and act as the Databricks SME, shaping enterprise data architecture and security. Experience with cloud platforms is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, big data, or cloud data platforms.
• Proven expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and/or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, lakehouse architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience with data governance, data security, and compliance practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Job description

We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence Advisor to join our team in bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Data Engineering & Development

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Python/Scala, and SQL.
• Implement data quality, lineage, and observability frameworks.
• Develop and maintain reusable templates, components, and accelerators.

Cloud Integration

• Integrate Databricks with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their native services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, BigQuery, etc.).
• Ensure proper security, authentication, and role-based access control in Databricks.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines for Databricks workflows.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand use cases and design optimal solutions.
• Mentor and guide data engineers on Databricks best practices and performance tuning.
• Act as the subject matter expert for Databricks within the organization.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, big data, or cloud data platforms.
• Proven expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, etc.).
• Experience in leading the enterprise-scale data architecture initiatives.
• Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in cloud and analytics.
