Job summary

Business Finance Head

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Dotted Line Reporting: CEO / Chairman

Location: Bangalore

Organization

The company has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) and is awaiting SEBI approval for listing. As part of this transformation, we are strengthening our leadership bench to ensure robust financial governance, operational excellence, and transparency befitting a soon-to-be-listed public enterprise.

Role

To provide strategic and operational financial leadership across business units, ensuring strong receivable control, ERP-driven governance, and process Standardization. The role reports directly to the CFO with a dotted line to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities
1. Receivable Management & Cash-Flow Discipline
  • Take full ownership of receivable and collection management across business units.
  • Ensure timely billing, certification, and collection; implement structured DSO reduction programs.
  • Align project execution milestones with cash-flow planning; lead weekly review cycles with business heads.
  • Create dashboards for outstanding monitoring and ageing control at both project and client level.
2. SOP Development & Process Governance
  • Frame, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all finance processes: purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash, expense control, and month-end closing.
  • Define and institutionalize Delegation of Authority (DoA) matrices and approval hierarchies.
  • Ensure policy adherence, documentation discipline, and audit readiness across all units.
3. ERP Transition & Systems Integration
  • Lead the ERP (Microsoft Business Central / SAP) transition project for finance and business modules.
  • Drive standardization of chart of accounts, approval workflows, and reporting structures.
  • Collaborate with IT, procurement, and operations teams to achieve process automation and real-time financial visibility.
  • Act as functional owner for ERP adoption, data integrity, and audit trail creation.
4. Financial & Statutory Approval of Purchase Orders
  • Review and approve purchase orders and work orders for budgetary, financial, and statutory compliance.
  • Validate rates, funding availability, and adherence to internal cost and tax norms.
  • Ensure POs comply with company SOPs, tender terms, and audit requirements before release.
5. Business-Unit Accounts Closing & MIS Reporting
  • Oversee month-end / quarter-end closing for all business units.
  • Review accruals, provisions, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with internal / statutory auditors for smooth audits and timely sign-offs.
  • Consolidate project-wise profitability, fund‑flow, and variance MIS for management and board reporting.
6. Business Partnering & Strategic Support
  • Work closely with CFO and CEO on budgeting, forecasting, and investor communications.
  • Support board‑pack preparation, quarterly result consolidation, and compliance documentation.
  • Integrate operational KPIs with financial outcomes to drive profitability and performance improvement.
Transition Responsibilities (Post‑Listing, 6‑8 Months)
  • Assume group‑level financial leadership covering accounting, treasury, and investor relations.
  • Ensure statutory compliance under SEBI (LODR), Ind AS, and the Companies Act.
  • Manage working capital, treasury operations, and capital structure optimization.
  • Lead enterprise risk management, audit committee interactions, and governance frameworks.
  • Build a future‑ready finance organization equipped for automation and data‑driven decision making.
Candidate Profile

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / MBA (Finance)

Experience: 12-18 years of progressive finance experience in infrastructure, EPC, or manufacturing environments

Mandatory Exposure:

  • Receivable & fund‑flow management
  • ERP transition (BC / SAP)
  • Financial & statutory vetting of POs / WOs
  • Accounts closing and audit coordination
  • SOP implementation and process governance

Experience in IPO / listed entity reporting preferred
