Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer (BDO) for Commerce Pro will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, forging partnerships, and converting leads into successful admissions for professional commerce courses (CA, ACCA, CMA). The role requires strategic planning, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of the education industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation & Conversion:
  • Identify and convert leads into admissions through cold calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Drive student enrolments through direct sales and tie-ups with educational institutions.
  • Partnerships & Alliances:
  • Collaborate with colleges, tuition centers, and influencers to build a referral network.
  • Develop B2B partnerships to enhance course reach.
  • Market Research & Strategy:
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential geographies and student segments.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead a small team of field executives/counselors if required.
  • Provide training, support, and motivation to ensure target achievement.
  • Brand Promotion:
  • Organize and attend seminars, webinars, career guidance sessions, and college fests to increase brand visibility.
  • Represent the brand at education fairs and conferences.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, sales, and follow-ups using CRM tools.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports to senior management with sales trends and forecasts.
Key Requirements
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field. MBA preferred.
