Business Development Manager – Intralogistics (Benelux & DACH)

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager – Intralogistics (Benelux & DACH) to join our team! Ideally located in the territory, this is an exciting opportunity for a tenacious and dedicated individual to become part of a thriving business and contribute to our ongoing success. This is a full-time and permanent position, reporting to the Head of Intralogistics.

What is the role?

The role is challenging and diverse and requires you to be commercially aware with strong numerical and technical capabilities. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • developing intralogistics sales in the region, by delivering on existing projects and identifying new opportunities
  • targeting system integrators and consultants to demonstrate and sell Loadhog’s value proposition in this segment
  • cultivating strong relationships with customers’ technical teams to support the validation of Loadhog’s range in automated systems
  • testifying to the technical specifications of Loadhog’s products and capturing the correct information to support the development of our solutions
  • working internally with designers and product managers to pursue new products and applications, supporting development work by engaging with technical briefs
  • working as part of a team to share and build opportunities across multinational stakeholders where decision makers for a project may sit across several offices/locations
  • representing the company at events including trade shows, conferences and networking events to expand business networks
  • collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing and operations to support growth
  • providing regular reporting on business development activities
  • negotiating contracts, proposals, and pricing with clients and partners
  • managing your own budget and responsibility for implementing and delivering strategies
  • collaborating with the Returnable Transit Packaging (RTP) team to enhance business opportunities
  • preparing and delivering presentations and pitches to potential customers.
  • ensuring the CRM system is kept up to date and utilised correctly
  • monitoring industry developments to identify innovative ways to gain a competitive edge

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Have a “hunter” mentality and love developing new business
  • Excellent sales, business development, and account management experience
  • Proven sales success in areas with a complex route to market
  • Be able to engage with technical and commercial stakeholders alike – versatile in the approach
  • Be strategic in your approach across product, customer and market
  • German speaking C1/C2
  • Work well as both part of a team (within an intralogistics team of 4 and the broader international sales team) and as an individual, using initiative
  • The patience and resilience to close large projects over a projected time frame (1-3 years)
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to self-motivate
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A desire to undertake training and learn new skills
  • Able to work under pressure
