A recruitment and staffing consultancy is seeking a Business Development Manager to be based in Dehradun or work remotely. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in business development within the recruitment sector and possess strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Responsibilities include client acquisition, understanding client needs, solution selling, and account growth. Immediate availability is preferred.

Job Description
1. Client Acquisition & Lead Generation
  • Identify potential clients through market research, networking, referrals, job boards, and industry events.
  • Reach out to prospects via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings.
  • Understand hiring patterns, industry verticals, and decision-making structures to target the right stakeholders.
2. Understanding Client Needs
  • Conduct requirement-gathering discussions with HR leaders and hiring managers.
  • Understand workforce challenges, workforce planning, volume hiring needs, niche skills, and timelines.
  • Customize recruitment solutions based on client expectations and business challenges.
3. Solution Selling
  • Pitch staffing offerings: permanent recruitment, contractual staffing, managed services, and RPO.
  • Create proposals, capability decks, commercials, and SLAs.
  • Provide market insights, cost benchmarking, and talent availability analysis.
4. Negotiation & Deal Closure
  • Negotiate terms such as fees, replacement period, contract margins, billing cycles, and TAT.
  • Finalize service agreements, NDAs, and MSAs.
  • Close deals and ensure successful onboarding of clients.
5. Relationship Management & Account Growth
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure delivery teams meet client expectations.
  • Identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities such as:
  • Additional roles
  • New business units
  • Contract staffing opportunities
  • Project-based hiring
