Job summary

Accelya is seeking a Solution Engineer (Business Analyst) at the Pune COE to translate customer problems into clear requirements for the development team. You will work with Engineering and Product to define solutions that meet user needs and support project planning and execution.

In this role you will analyze airline Change Requests, create BRDs and user stories, coordinate across multiple releases, and facilitate requirement handovers with stakeholders. AWS/AI fluency is valued.

Qualifications

Solution Engineering (Business Analyst)

Pune COE

Role Purpose:

Understanding the business problem of the customer and translating it into clear requirements for the development team to achieve customer need.

The Specialist-Solution Engineering supports the analysis and translation of business requirements into technical specifications. This role collaborates with Engineering and Product teams to develop and implement solutions that meet user needs. The role contributes to project planning and execution, ensuring deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Analyze airline Change Requests (CRs), drive Product Intake approvals, and create BRDs, functional/development user stories, solution approaches, and backlog items for both product and customer-specific enhancements.


• Simultaneously manage initiatives across multiple releases, supporting release planning, sprint planning, development estimations, and ensuring timely readiness of requirements for upcoming releases.


• Act as the key liaison between airlines, Product Owners, Development, QA, PMs, SMs, and third‑party vendors, conducting requirement handovers, solution alignment sessions, and follow-ups on delivered functionality.


• Support SIT and UAT activities, perform business sanity testing, provide QA handovers, conduct training/demos for airline QA teams, and showcase release deliverables internally.


• Support pre-CR inquiries, PreSales, Onboarding, Service Management, and NDC teams by addressing functional queries, updating schemas when required, and ensuring smooth communication across business and technical teams.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into actionable solutions.


• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with business and technical teams.


• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) along with foundational technical knowledge of APIs, databases, system integrations, and process flows. Experience with AWS is preferred.


• Practical AI fluency to accelerate requirement elicitation, analysis, mapping, and documentation, with the ability to craft effective prompts, validate AI-generated outputs, and communicate AI‑assisted insights while applying sound business judgment.
