Job summary

KiyaAi in Chennai is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with strong reconciliation domain experience to drive transformation, process improvements, automation, and technology initiatives within Reconciliation Operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Investment Banking/ Financial Services/ Capital Markets.
• Strong experience in Reconciliation Operations (Cash & Securities/Position).
• Hands-on with reconciliation breaks, matching, exception management, and RCA.
• Experience with BRD/FRD, requirements gathering, process mapping, As-Is/To-Be analysis.
• UAT/SIT, test case preparation, defect management, and implementation.
• Experience with reconciliation platforms such as TLM, IntelliMatch, SmartStream or similar.
• Strong stakeholder management and Excel; Tableau/Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end cash and securities reconciliation processes and workflows.
• Perform root cause analysis of reconciliation breaks and identify improvements.
• Design As-Is/To-Be processes to boost efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Gather requirements and prepare BRD/FRD, functional specs, process flows, and user stories.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Product, Risk and others on solutions.
• Support reconciliation tools, matching engines, and automation initiatives.
• Define UAT requirements, create test scenarios, coordinate UAT, track defects.
• Monitor KPIs like auto-match rates, break volumes, break aging, exception trends.
• Support migrations, system enhancements, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare dashboards/reports using Excel, Tableau, Power BI.
• Ensure data integrity across systems and reconciliation platforms.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong Reconciliation domain experience to support business transformation, process improvement, automation, and technology initiatives within Reconciliation Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze end-to-end cash and securities reconciliation processes, breaks, exceptions, and matching workflows.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring reconciliation breaks and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Analyze As-Is processes and design To-Be workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and prepare BRD/FRD, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
• Work closely with Operations, Technology, Product, Risk, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into system solutions.
• Support reconciliation tools, matching engines, exception management, and automation initiatives.
• Define UAT requirements, prepare test scenarios/scripts, coordinate UAT, track defects, and validate solutions before production implementation.
• Analyze reconciliation KPIs including auto-match rates, break volumes, break aging, and exception trends.
• Support process migrations, system enhancements, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare dashboards and reports using Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy across multiple systems and reconciliation platforms.

Required Skills:

• 9+ years of experience in Investment Banking / Financial Services / Capital Markets.
• Strong experience in Reconciliation Operations, preferably Cash & Securities/Position Reconciliation.
• Hands-on understanding of reconciliation breaks, matching, exception management, and RCA.
• Strong Business Analysis experience with BRD/FRD, requirements gathering, process mapping, As-Is/To-Be analysis.
• Experience in UAT/SIT, test case preparation, defect management, and implementation.
• Experience with reconciliation platforms such as TLM, IntelliMatch, SmartStream or similar.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Excel; Tableau/Power BI is an advantage.

Good to Have:

• Custody / Fund Accounting / Asset Servicing experience.
• Reconciliation automation and matching-rule optimization.
• Experience with reconciliation migrations or system implementations.
• Knowledge of Agile / Waterfall methodologies.
• Exposure to Cash, Securities, Trade, Settlement, or Fund Accounting operations.
