Inviting applications for the role of Business Analyst, Project Cost Analyst

Responsibilities

Manage the controllership and financial reporting of projects in accordance with internal control rules. Ensure project accounting is in accordance with Company guidelines; define milestone and liaise with accounting for revenue recognition.

Organize the project reviews from start to the end of each contract. Ensure consistency with project teams. Participate in Project reviews as part of the Leader Standard Work, to ensure the application of the defined Project Control approach.

Analyze the execution performance and propose action plans to improve contract margin and cash profile as well as corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks.

Should have good understanding on Cost performance index, Schedule performance indexes, budget hours/cost, actual and variance.

Develop and harmonize PCA Processes / Workflows.

Support Continuous Improvement Initiatives on PCA / Finance topics.

Actively track and manage to the PCA KPI’s.

Work Closely with the Project Management Office to: Manage, track and provide analysis on support contracts and projects (sales, forecast estimates to complete, actuals, cost reconciliations, risks and opportunities, cash forecasts).

Performs financial analysis (budget deviations and identify root causes) for Project Manager, Project Management Office and HQ reporting.

Enters and maintains all project financial data in ERP (orders, invoicing, budgets, purchase requisitions).

Support invoicing and cash collection of project and support contracts.

Deliver monthly close of assigned business units by country and communicate any exceptions.

Drive PCA Lessons Learned and improve efficiency, actively engage in the Continuous Improvement and further Lean Initiatives.

Ensure compliance to the Global Standard process for Project Controls.

Support PM to align P6 project budgets to as sold in the ERP system.

Liaison with Central Quality function to ensure alignment of regional best practices to global Quality standards.

Liaison with other appropriate Teams within the Region e.g. Comm Ops, Finance, Sales required in the formation of the End‑to‑End Project Control Processes.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications

Educational Background: B.Com with MBA or Equivalent degree.

Project Cost Management: Candidate should have worked in Project management domain and has experience in Cost analysis, variance analysis, Cost performance index, Earned Value management concepts.

Strong Project Financial Management background (5 years' experience).

Strong experience in using PCA tools and related processes.

Candidate should have familiarity with Primavera, how Scheduling of resources is performed in Primavera.

Analytical Skills: Essential for data manipulation, statistical analysis and creating visualizations.

Excel Mastery with PowerPoint skills: Proficient in using Excel for data analysis tasks including formulas, functions, pivot tables, and charts.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve financial issues.

Team Engagement: Proactively collaborates with multiple teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Experience working within a matrix organization and with minimum supervision.

Problem‑Solving Abilities: Exhibits excellent problem‑solving skills. Approximately 90% of analytics involves critical thinking and asking the required questions based on solid knowledge.

Communication Skills: Effectively conveys complex information clearly to stakeholders who may not have a technical background. Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of Oracle, SAP or similar Projects Accounting modules.
