Job summary

You translate business needs into detailed specifications, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria within Agile environments.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of hands-on Business Analysis experience.
• Experience in large financial services or insurance organizations.
• Proven delivery within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

• Produce BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and process maps.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability across SDLC: requirements → design → build → test → release.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and collaborate with QA for test scenarios and UAT planning.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to clarify functional and non-functional requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and quantify business outcomes.

Role Overview

The Business Analyst is responsible for driving end-to-end requirement discovery, documentation, and validation across complex platforms in the financial and insurance domains. The role partners with product owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria. Ensures process efficiency, requirement clarity, and seamless delivery across Agile environments and the SDLC.

Experience

5-10+ years of hands-on Business Analysis experience. Experience in large financial services or insurance organizations. Proven delivery within Agile/Scrum frameworks. Strong background in requirement elicitation, process modeling, and gap/impact analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and conduct requirement elicitation via workshops, interviews, and data analysis. Produce BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and process maps. Perform gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies; identify dependencies and risks. Ensure end-to-end traceability across SDLC: requirements -> design -> build -> test -> release. Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives). Collaborate with QA to define test scenarios and support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage. Partner with architects and engineers to clarify functional and non‑functional requirements. Create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and knowledge artifacts. Drive continuous improvement and quantify business outcomes (e.g., cycle-time reduction).

Required Technical Skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas). Expertise in Visio (BPMN), JIRA, Confluence; familiarity with requirements management tools. Ability to interpret and use SQL for data validation and analysis. Understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data flows. Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum practices, and documentation standards.

Good-to-Have Skills

Insurance lifecycle knowledge (Policy, Claims, Underwriting). Exposure to financial services platforms and regulatory context. Data visualization (Power BI/Tableau) and basic statistics.

Soft Skills & Behaviors

Exceptional written and verbal communication; business-friendly documentation. Analytical and structured problem‑solving; attention to detail. Stakeholder management across business, product, engineering, and QA. Ownership mindset, adaptability, and collaboration.

Good to have

• Having a basic understanding or exposure to AI tools would be a plus.
• Familiarity with basic AI tools is considered an advantage.
• Basic knowledge or experience with AI tools will be beneficial.
• Exposure to AI tools, even at a basic level, is a value‑add.
• A fundamental grasp of AI tools will be an added benefit.
