Job summary

Cognizant in Bengaluru is seeking a data engineer with 6+ years of experience to translate business needs into technical specs and data lineage. You will design STTM mappings and validate data using SQL, while leveraging Informatica/SSIS and Azure data services. Collaboration with data teams and QA will be essential throughout agile delivery cycles.

The role emphasizes data governance, quality checks, and UAT support in a collaborative office setting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of overall experience in data engineering / analytics.

• Work experience with Azure data platforms (ADF, Synapse, Databricks, ADLS) to support data solutions
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, QA, and business stakeholders during delivery cycles
• Support data profiling, data quality checks, and UAT activities
• Ensure alignment with enterprise data standards, governance, and compliance
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide ongoing delivery support
