Job summary

Delta Electronics India in Bengaluru seeks Battery, Cell and BMS Test Engineers with 2-5 years of experience to join our Battery Solution team at the Bangalore office.

The role encompasses testing telecom packs, modules, and cells, BMS functionality, and certification/compliance support for ESS and telecom packs. You will operate battery cyclers, thermal chambers and other instruments and contribute to test protocols and detailed reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct performance tests related to safety, cycle life, and environmental testing of LFP cells, modules, and packs.
• Operate and maintain battery test equipment (cyclers, thermal chambers, SMPS, DAQ systems).
• Develop and execute test protocols based on IEC 62619, UL, UN38.3, BIS, IEC, etc.
• Develop and execute DVPs and test cases for battery validation and BMS functionality tests.
• Analyze battery performance data and create detailed technical reports for customer requirements and future evaluations.
• Support battery certification processes and coordination with labs/agencies.
• Assist in battery pack integration into Telecom and ESS platforms including Modbus RS485 testing.
• Knowledge in BMS integration, CAN/RS485 diagnostics and logging.
• Knowledge in EMI/EMC and integration of Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal and NPI processes.

Job description

We are seeking a talented Battery, Cell and BMS Test Engineers and specializing Battery Pack, cells testing and BMS with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic Battery Solution team at our Bangalore office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for complete testing of Telecom pack, module and cell and BMS functionality also experience in Certification and compliance for the ESS and Telecom Pack. Hands on experience in testing cell & Pack cyclers, other related equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities and skills:

• Conduct the performance of tests related to safety, cycle life, and environmental testing of LFP cells, modules, and packs
• Operate and maintain battery test equipment (battery cyclers, thermal chambers, SMPS, Load bank DAQ systems, etc.)
• Develop and execute test protocols based on equivalent standards like IEC 62619, TSEC UL, UN38.3, BIS, IEC, etc.
• Develop and execute comprehensive DVP (Design Verification Plan) and test cases for battery validation cell validation and BMS functionality tests.
• Analyze battery performance data and create detailed technical reports and make reports as per the customer requirements qualification and maintain the report for the future evaluations.
• Support battery certification processes, compliance documentation, and coordination with labs/agencies.
• Assist in battery pack integration into Telecom and ESS platforms including Modbus, RS485/Modbus protocol communication testing.
• Knowledge in BMS integration, Components and system monitoring, fault simulation, CAN /RS485 diagnostics, and logging.
• Knowledge in EMI/EMC.
• Knowledge in integration of parts like Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal and NPI line and Manufacturing process.

Qualifications: Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field;
• A master's degree from prestigious institutes in Electrical Engineering or related fields is considered an advantage
