Job summary

Egis in Bengaluru seeks an experienced BIM Lead to coordinate BIM activities for multidisciplinary projects, ensuring adherence to global BIM standards. You will lead a team of BIM modelers, implement templates, and support design teams with Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks.

The role requires strong knowledge of COBie, LOD 300, and BIM execution workflows, with a focus on quality, coordination, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline with 5+ years in BIM for building services.
• Extensive experience with Revit MEPF and building services modeling platforms.
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards, processes, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate BIM activities across multidisciplinary projects, ensuring compliance with project and organizational BIM standards.
• Plan, schedule, monitor, and coordinate both technical and management aspects of BIM project delivery.
• Provide Revit and BIM technical support to the MEP discipline teams.
• Configure, manage, and administer BIM 360 collaboration environments and workflows.
• Develop, maintain, and coordinate 3D models across Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines for clash detection and coordination reviews.
• Establish project BIM execution plans, workflows, standards, and documentation procedures.
• Set up project templates and BIM environments in accordance with applicable CAD/BIM standards.
• Initiate project models and prepare them for production teams.
• Allocate and manage model work packages among BIM Modelers and junior team members.
• Mentor, guide, and support junior BIM professionals and modelers.
• Monitor model quality, performance, and file size while ensuring adherence to BIM standards.
• Manage interoperability between BIM platforms and engineering/design software.
• Ensure successful delivery of COBie and other project information requirements.
• Perform quality checks and reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

• Technical Skills
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
• Strong knowledge of BIM collaboration, coordination, and data management platforms, including BIM 360 Suite, Assemble, Synchro, and Navisworks.
• Experience with 3D/BIM-enabled quantity take-off and estimating tools.
• Thorough understanding of Level of Development (LOD) specifications and BIM execution processes.
• Sound knowledge of industry BIM standards, best practices, and digital engineering workflows.
• Domain Knowledge
• Strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting (MEPF), and HVAC systems.
• Ability to coordinate building services with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Expertise in creating accurate 3D models and visualizations to support design development and project coordination.
• Proficiency in producing detailed drawings, schematics, construction documentation, and permit submission packages.

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a consulting environment, with a strong focus on BIM for building services projects.
• Extensive experience in Revit MEPF and other building services design and modeling platforms.
• Strong understanding of BIM processes, standards, and project delivery methodologies.
