Job summary

Egisgroup in Bengaluru, India is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Modeler - Mechanical to lead the development and coordination of detailed BIM models for HVAC, piping and equipment.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to drive seamless project delivery, enforce BIM standards, mentor junior modelers, and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional BIM modeling experience focused on mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP or equivalent BIM modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping and equipment layout.
• Experience with clash detection and MEP coordination workflows.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
• Solid understanding of building codes and BIM protocols.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models for mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping and equipment.
• Perform detailed 3D modeling and visualization of mechanical systems using BIM software.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve inter-discipline clashes.
• Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure proper integration of systems.
• Create and manage technical documentation, drawings and specs from BIM models.
• Establish BIM standards and best practices across projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to meet timelines.
• Mentor junior BIM modelers and provide modeling guidance.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with project requirements and industry standards.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide progress updates.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior BIM Modeler - Mechanical to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating detailed Building Information Models with a focus on mechanical systems. You will work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery and maintain the highest standards of BIM documentation and coordination.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive BIM models for mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, equipment, and related infrastructure
• Perform detailed 3D modeling and visualization of mechanical systems using industry-standard BIM software
• Conduct clash detection and resolution between mechanical systems and other building disciplines
• Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure accurate integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Create and manage technical documentation, construction drawings, and specifications from BIM models
• Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across projects
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to support project timelines and deliverables
• Analyze complex mechanical systems and provide technical recommendations for optimization
• Mentor junior BIM modelers and provide guidance on modeling techniques and standards
• Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with project requirements and industry standards
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide regular updates on model status and progress

Required Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience in BIM modeling with a focus on mechanical systems
• Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP or equivalent BIM modeling software
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, including HVAC, piping, and equipment layout
• Demonstrated expertise in 3D modeling, visualization, and technical documentation
• Experience with clash detection and MEP coordination workflows
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and BIM protocols
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, collaborative environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Autodesk Revit certification or equivalent professional credential
• Experience with Navisworks or other coordination software
• Knowledge of Dynamo scripting or BIM automation tools
• Experience with project management and coordination software
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience with junior team members
• Familiarity with Indian building codes and construction standards
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects
