Job summary

Leighton Asia is seeking a BIM Engineer specialized in Electrical systems for Data Center projects in India. You will develop and manage 3D BIM models using Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC, coordinating with MEP disciplines to deliver accurate shop drawings and as-built docs.

With 5+ years of BIM experience in data centers and a degree in electrical engineering, you’ll drive clash detection, collaborate across teams, and ensure deliverables meet BEP and project specs while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in BIM engineering for MEP Electrical systems.
• Experience on Data Center projects with high-density electrical infrastructure.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD and BIM 360/ACC.
• Strong coordination across electrical, mechanical, architectural and structural teams.
• Knowledge of international electrical design standards.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models for Electrical systems using Revit and other BIM platforms.
• Produce detailed 3D models, shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate electrical systems with Mechanical, Plumbing, Architectural, and Structural disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using Navisworks and related BIM tools.
• Support project teams throughout design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Generate schedules, quantity take-offs, and reports from BIM models.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project requirements, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and industry standards.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical BIM support to stakeholders.
• Maintain model accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
• Support the implementation of BIM best practices and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of BIM Engineering experience specializing in MEP Electrical systems.
• Proven experience working on Data Center projects, including mission-critical facilities and high-density electrical infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC.
• Experience coordinating electrical systems such as:
  • UPS Systems
  • MV/LV Distribution
  • Generators
  • Busways
  • Grounding & Lightning Protection
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Security and ELV Systems
• Strong understanding of BIM coordination workflows, clash detection, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Knowledge of international electrical design standards and construction practices.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
