Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a BIM Coordinator (Civil 3D Infrastructure) to lead BIM delivery on infrastructure projects, coordinating across disciplines and ensuring ISO 19650 compliant workflows. You will drive model coordination, digital delivery, and QA/QC processes while mentoring project teams.

The role focuses on Civil 3D model development, data management, and CDE governance, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and standards adherence across highways, rail, utilities and site development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related discipline.
• 6–10 years of BIM, Digital Delivery, or Infrastructure Design experience on large-scale projects.
• Proven BIM delivery experience in ISO 19650 frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D for alignments, corridors, surfaces and drainage.
• Strong knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360, ProjectWise, and Revizto.
• Understanding of BIM standards, digital delivery processes, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in federated model management, clash detection, and CDE workflows.
• Experience on transportation, highways, rail, utilities, drainage, water, or major infra projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Autodesk Certified Professional and/or ISO 19650 certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for BIM and digital delivery activities across infrastructure projects, ensuring BIM processes and standards are implemented.
• Coordinate BIM activities across multidisciplinary teams for seamless civil, structural, utilities, geotechnical and transportation integration.
• Supervise and contribute to BIM model production for roads, highways, rail, drainage, utilities, and site development assets.
• Lead development of Civil 3D models including alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, and drainage systems.
• Manage Civil 3D Data Shortcuts, templates, styles, assemblies, and project standards across teams.
• Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and modelling standards per ISO 19650.
• Establish and manage Common Data Environments (CDEs) using ACC/BIM 360, ProjectWise, or equivalent.
• Create and maintain federated BIM models, resolving design and data conflicts.
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks and Revizto.
• Conduct BIM coordination meetings and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Implement QA/QC processes and quality reviews of Civil 3D and BIM deliverables.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure BIM deliverables meet objectives, quality, and timelines.
• Manage asset information, COBie deliverables, and digital handover requirements.
• Drive digital delivery and automation using Civil 3D, Dynamo, GIS integration and BIM tech.
• Provide mentoring on Civil 3D, Navisworks, ACC, and BIM best practices.

Your impact

BIM Coordinator (Civil 3D Infrastructure) will be the primary point of contact for BIM and Civil 3D-related activities on infrastructure projects. The role requires strong expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D for the development, coordination, and management of linear infrastructure models including roads, highways, rail, drainage, utilities, and site development projects. The position will lead to model coordination, digital delivery, QA/QC processes, and implementation of ISO 19650-compliant workflows across multidisciplinary teams

Role & Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for BIM and digital delivery activities across infrastructure projects, ensuring effective implementation of BIM processes and standards.
• Coordinate BIM activities across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless integration between civil, structural, utilities, geotechnical, and transportation disciplines.
• Supervise and actively contribute to BIM model production for infrastructure assets including roads, highways, rail, drainage systems, utilities, and site development projects.
• Lead the development of Civil 3D models including alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, grading designs, drainage systems, pipe networks, and utility models.
• Manage Civil 3D Data Shortcuts, templates, styles, assemblies, and project standards across multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), modelling standards, workflows, and information management protocols in accordance with ISO 19650.
• Establish and manage Common Data Environments (CDEs) using ACC/BIM 360, ProjectWise, or equivalent platforms.
• Create and maintain federated BIM models, resolving design, spatial, and data conflicts.
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks and Revizto, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Conduct BIM coordination meetings and provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
• Implement QA/QC processes and perform quality reviews of Civil 3D and BIM deliverables.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure BIM deliverables meet project objectives, quality requirements, and programme timelines.
• Manage asset information, COBie deliverables, and digital handover requirements to support project operations and asset management.
• Drive digital delivery and automation initiatives using Civil 3D, Dynamo, GIS integration, and emerging BIM technologies.
• Provide mentoring and technical support on Civil 3D, Navisworks, ACC, and BIM best practices.
• Stay current with BIM technologies, Civil 3D advancements, and industry best practices.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related discipline.
• 6-10 years of experience in BIM, Digital Delivery, or Infrastructure Design environments with proven experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven expertise in delivering infrastructure projects using BIM methodologies in accordance with ISO 19650 standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, including corridor modelling, surface modelling, grading design, drainage systems, utility coordination, and Data Shortcut workflows.
• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360, ProjectWise, and Revizto.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, digital delivery processes, infrastructure design principles, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in federated model management, clash detection, BIM coordination, and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
• Experience working on transportation, highways, rail, utilities, drainage, water, or major infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Autodesk Certified Professional and/or ISO 19650 certification is highly desirable.
