Job summary

Mott Macdonald is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support project teams with BIM authoring tools, coordinate weekly meetings, and develop BIM standards for modelling and documentation. You will produce information models using Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D and help maintain project CDE workflows.

The role requires strong 3D modelling skills, familiarity with ISO19650/ BS1192, and the ability to train the team as needed to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience with Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bentley ProjectWise.
• Familiarity with industry modelling standards (ISO19650 / BS1192 / PAS1192-2).
• Strong 3D modelling skills with Revit Structures and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

BIM Coordinator

Company: Mott Macdonald. Job Type: Full Time. India.

Title: BIM Coordinator

Location: Mumbai/Bangalore

Role Responsibilities:

• Support project teams in the use of BIM authoring tools
• Hold weekly coordination meetings with team members
• Creating internal BIM standards used in the projects like standards for the use of modelling tools, standards for creating object libraries etc.
• Early design review and constructability analysis
• Producing information models/content using Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D.
• Selecting and implementing solutions to automate repetitive tasks like the use of Dynamo, new plugins etc
• Development and maintenance of BIM project documentation e.g. BEP, MIDP & TIPD
• Implementing and maintaining the project Common Data Environment (CDE)
• Monitoring project compliance to agreed workflows
• Federate models and perform clash detection reporting
• Coordinate and delegate project tasks amongst team members.
• Carry out BIM check of models and deliverables produced by team
• Identify and provide required trainings to the team members/helping the team in upskilling as and when required.

Candidate Specification :

• Experience of Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bently Projectwise.
• Supplementary experience in Civil/Structural Engineering Design.
• Familiarity with working to industry modelling standards
• Knowledge of ISO19650 / BS1192 / PAS1192-2
• EngTech TMICE or similar
• Strong 3D modelling skills (especially Autodesk Revit Structures and Civil 3D)
• Strong interest in 3D design, modelling and creating immersive models
• Enthusiasm to learn new skills and embrace new technologies and software
• Have an eye for detail and ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
• Able to work on your own initiative, whilst displaying a commitment to contribute to, and learn from, the wider team.
• Able to carry out detailing in 2D environment
• Experience in Infrastructure projects is not mandatory but will be an advantage.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
