Job summary

Sii Group India is seeking an experienced Big Data Engineer to design and manage data foundations powering AI initiatives. The role focuses on Snowflake-based data ingestion, transformation, and lake development, with emphasis on data quality, security, and scalable pipelines.

You will work in a hybrid setup in Hyderabad or Bangalore, collaborating with AI engineers and data scientists while mentoring peers and optimizing cloud data warehouses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data ingestion, data integration, schema design, data transformation, and data lake development.
• Experience designing and managing scalable cloud data warehouses using Snowflake.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT data pipelines and data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of query performance optimization and platform efficiency.
• Hands-on with dbt and Airflow for orchestration and automation.
• Ability to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and governance across datasets.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform.
• Experience leveraging Snowpark, Streams, and Tasks for data processing.
• Fluent English communication skills - minimum B2 level.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Big Data Developer to join our internal team at SII Group India. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing the data foundation that powers our AI initiatives. The engineer will work on data ingestion, data stitching, schema design, data transformation, and data lake preparation, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and AI-ready datasets. You will play a critical role in enabling AI Engineers and Data Scientists to effectively leverage enterprise data for advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions.

This is a hybrid work model, with candidates expected to work from our offices in Hyderabad or Bangalore.

Your tasks

• Designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Snowflake
• Building AI-ready data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows

• Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration and workflow automation using dbt and Airflow
• Ability to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through data quality and validation processes
• Previous work in managing Snowflake security, access controls, and governance frameworksKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform
• Experience leveraging Snowpark, Streams, and Tasks for advanced data processing and automation
