Job summary

CrowdPlat is seeking a seasoned BI/ETL Data Engineer to manage data pipelines, develop analytics assets, and ensure production operations run smoothly. The role requires 8+ years in BI/ETL and DBT expertise, with strong SQL and data warehousing know-how.

You will support 24/7 production pipelines and collaborate with onshore/offshore teams to deliver reliable BI solutions. Ideal candidates will design data models, create dashboards with Tableau, and continuously improve pipeline performance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in BI, ETL, and Data Engineering.
• DBT (Data Build Tool) experience is required.
• Expertise in SQL, ETL tools, and data transformation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and data modeling best practices.
• Experience in a production support environment with 24/7 availability (preferred).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

We are seeking a BI/ETL Data Engineer (Support Engineer) to support our Client by managing data pipelines, developing analytic assets, and ensuring smooth production operations. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in BI/ETL, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Data Build Tool (DBT) experience is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data processing and analytics.
• Support production data pipelines to ensure smooth data flow and transformation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in real-time while adhering to SLA standards.
• Implement continuous improvements to enhance pipeline efficiency and reliability.
• Design and develop data models to support BI and analytics reporting.
• Work with visualization tools like Tableau and other BI platforms to create insightful dashboards.
• Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and performance across reporting environments.

3. Database & Infrastructure Management

• Support and manage data warehouses and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Ensure data security and compliance with organizational and industry standards.
• Collaborate with DBAs and Data Architects to optimize database performance.

4. Agile Project Execution & Documentation

• Work closely with the team to align data solutions with business requirements.
• Follow Agile methodologies for sprint planning, backlog tracking, and iterative development.
• Document technical specifications, data models, and system architecture for knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in BI, ETL, and Data Engineering.
• Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) is required.
• Expertise in SQL, ETL tools (e.g., Fivetran, Attunity), and data transformation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and data modeling best practices.
• Experience working in a production support environment with 24/7 availability (preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance ETL processes for efficiency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Jira or other ITSM tools for incident tracking and resolution.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and DevOps best practices.
• Shift: Normal India Day shift (with some weekend on call requirements).
• Participate in daily/weekly status updates with the team.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless support.
• Be available for on-call escalation as needed.
