Job summary

Comviva is seeking a BI/Data Engineer to design and maintain dashboards and data pipelines powering multiple markets. You will own the BI Portal, build base aggregates in the Data Warehouse, and ensure data quality across ongoing pipelines. Collaboration with Business, Ops, and DE teams is essential to keep dashboards and reconciliations up to date.

The role requires strong SQL, experience with BI tools (Power BI/Metabase), and hands-on ETL with NiFi or similar, plus fintech domain knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BI / Data Engineering / Data Analysis
• Strong hands-on SQL skills (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent) for querying and managing large datasets
• Experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders and translating them into dashboards/reports
• Hands-on experience building and owning dashboards/reports on BI tools such as Power BI or Metabase
• Experience building data pipelines/ETL (e.g., Apache NiFi or similar) to create base aggregates on a Data Warehouse
• Experience monitoring data pipelines and owning data quality/accuracy end-to-end
• Experience with reconciliation processes, working with banks, payment gateways, telcos
• Must have Fintech or digital banking/domain knowledge

Key Skills (Must Have)

• Must have at least one of the following: (a) experience in marketing analytics, managing customer campaigns and segmentation, OR (b) experience in fintech / digital lending / banking / MFI / mobile money or a similarly regulated financial domain -- the deeper the financial/domain knowledge, the stronger the fit

Good To Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with PySpark / HDFS for big data processing
• Working knowledge of Python (used internally by team members to build automation tooling -- not mandatory)
