Job summary

Rippling, Inc. is seeking an Operations Analyst within the Benefits Operations team to support EDI and API operations. You will configure, debug, and maintain client-level settings and assist in resolving errors from multiple insurance carriers.

You will engage with carriers, customers, brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely setup, testing, and ongoing support, with emphasis on accuracy, SLAs, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of EDI file transmissions (834 or proprietary) and enrollment management.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail with analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Knowledge of API is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end setup of new EDI/API implementations (834, JSON, and carriers' files) and post-production support.
• Act as the primary point of contact with insurance carriers, customers, and brokers to resolve EDI/API issues.
• Identify process gaps and opportunities for improvements.
• Own productivity metrics and ensure adherence to SLAs.

About the role

Benefits is one of Rippling's largest and most important product categories, and the Benefits Operations team is critical to getting companies enrolled in the right benefits. The team manages tens of thousands of enrollments every year.

Rippling is looking for an Operations Analyst to support our EDI and API operations. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, debugging, and maintaining client-level configurations and assisting in resolving any errors returned from multiple insurance carriers. This role will require significant engagement across insurance carriers, customers, and a number of internal departments, and will have a major impact on the success of Rippling's Benefits platform.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end setup of new EDI/API implementations (834, JSON, and carriers' proprietary files) and post-production support for our growing client base, including carrier requirements gathering, file mapping, testing, error report handling, and discrepancy resolution
• Act as the primary point of contact with insurance carriers, customers, and brokers to resolve issues related to EDI/API transactions
• Identify process gaps and areas where improvements can be made
• Own productivity metrics and ensure adherence to SLAs

What you will need

• 3+ years of experience in EDI file transmissions (834 files or proprietary files) and enrollment/member eligibility management.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Good attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Knowledge with API is a plus.
