Job Description

The BDS Doctor will provide dental consultation, oral examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, basic dental procedures, patient counselling, and clinical documentation at Shashwat Hospitals, Jamnagar. This requires BDS qualification with 1–3 years of dental clinical experience. There are 2 vacancies for this position.

• Examine patients with dental pain, cavities, gum problems, oral lesions, and dental care concerns.
• Take patient history, perform oral examination, and prepare treatment plans.
• Provide basic dental procedures such as scaling, restoration, extraction assistance, dressing, and preventive care as per competency.
• Review X‑rays, investigation reports, and dental findings when required.
• Counsel patients regarding oral hygiene, treatment options, medicines, procedures, and follow‑up care.
• Maintain dental case records, prescriptions, consent forms, procedure notes, and follow‑up documentation.
• Coordinate with nursing, dental assistant, front office, billing, pharmacy, and patient care teams.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, PPE, biomedical waste, and dental safety protocols.
• Manage dental emergencies and refer complex cases to specialists when required.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and ethical dental care.
• Support health awareness and preventive oral care education when required.
• Deliver safe, professional, and patient‑centered dental services.
