Job summary

EY is seeking an Experienced Business Analyst for the Data Migration team in Chennai, focusing on Temenos Wealth implementations and Private Banking domains. You will lead end-to-end migration activities, from data profiling and mapping to validation, while coordinating with onsite teams to ensure delivery excellence.

Ideal candidates bring 12–18 years of experience, strong Temenos expertise, and leadership skills to guide large migration teams.

Qualifications

• MBA/MCA/BE/B.Tech equivalent with 12–18 years of experience.
• Lead one or more Temenos T24 projects and coordinate with onsite coordinators.
• Willing to travel to customer locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Migration Strategy for Temenos Wealth implementations, including ETL, profiling, cleansing, mapping and reconciliation.
• Provide guidance on Temenos T24 architecture, administration and data structures for robust migration solutions.
• Oversee design and development using Infobasic, Core Java, EJB, J2EE and ETL tools to deliver migration components.
• Manage databases (Oracle, DB2, Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL) and optimize performance for large migrations.
• Document migration strategy, data mapping, ETL workflows and reconciliation reports per governance standards.
• Collaborate with clients to capture requirements and provide progress updates to project managers and leads.
• Mentor large migration teams, foster quality and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Identify migration risks and implement mitigation strategies; support pre-sales planning and resource allocation.
• Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on migration best practices.

The Opportunity

Experienced Business Analyst to join the Data Migration team for a large-scale Private Banking implementation. The ideal candidate will possess strong domain expertise in private banking products and demonstrate hands‑on experience in data analysis, mapping, and validation processes across complex source and target systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead Data Migration Strategy: Define and oversee the end-to-end migration approach, including ETL processes, data profiling, cleansing, mapping, and reconciliation for Temenos Wealth implementations.
• Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on Temenos T24 architecture, administration, configuration, and data structures, ensuring robust migration solutions.
• Design & Development Oversight: Supervise development activities using Infobasic, Core Java, EJB, J2EE, and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica) to deliver high-quality migration components.
• Database Management: Ensure efficient handling of relational and hierarchical databases such as Oracle, DB2, Postgres, MySQL, and MSSQL, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Functional Knowledge: Apply expertise in core banking and wealth modules, including Private Banking, Securities, Accounting, Compliance, AML, and GL structures, to align migration with business requirements.
• Documentation & Governance: Prepare and validate migration documentation, including strategy papers, data mapping, ETL process flows, and reconciliation reports, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, clarify migration needs, and provide regular progress updates to project managers and technical leads.
• Leadership & Team Management: Manage large migration teams, mentor resources, and foster a quality-driven culture while ensuring timely delivery of migration milestones.
• Risk Management: Identify potential migration risks, implement mitigation strategies, and handle critical issues effectively to keep projects on track.
• Pre‑sales & Planning Support: Contribute to effort estimation, engagement assessments, and pre‑sales activities, while supporting project planning and resource allocation.
• Training & Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on migration best practices and Temenos tools.

Skills And Attributes For Success

• MBA/MCA/ BE / B.Tech/ equivalent with a sound industry experience of 12 to 18 Yrs
• Need to work as a team lead in one or more T24 projects.
• Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators
• Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead
• Regular status reporting to the Manager and onsite coordinators
• Interface with the customer representatives as and when needed
• Should be ready to travel to customers locations on need basis
