Job summary

Enterpret in Bangalore is seeking a backend-focused intern to work on AI-native platform features and scalable serverless architectures. Youll contribute to real systems, participate in design discussions, and learn from experienced engineers.

Youll gain ownership from day one, build from scratch, and help translate model outputs into real-time inferences while collaborating across teams and projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a CS/Engineering degree from a Tier 1 college.
• Strong programming fundamentals in any modern language.
• At least one prior internship in backend/AI or related role.
• Genuine interest in distributed systems, serverless computing, and AI-powered product features.
• Bonus: open-source contributions or backend/AI project experience.

Responsibilities

What Youll Do

Our backend team is small but exceptionally strong, so youll learn fast and get real ownership early, with experienced engineers alongside you the whole way. Youll get to build things from scratch and see how your systems hold up in the real world, with all its messy data, unexpected user behavior, and edge cases.

And when something breaks (it happens to all of us), youll dig in with the team to make it faster and more resilient than before.

• Join our system design discussions: sit in on internal design and implementation conversations and contribute your ideas.
• Take ideas from concept to production: build real solutions with guidance, not just closing tickets off a backlog.
• Develop on serverless architectures using AWS, building scalable backend components that stand up to real-world use.
• Help build proof-of-concepts for new backend + AI feature integrations, from model output to real-time inference.
• Work closely with the engineers building our AI-native platform and learn how backend architecture supports AI features end to end.

What It Takes

• Onsite in Bangalore is a must-have: youre able and willing to work from our Bangalore office in person.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering from a Tier 1 college.
• Strong programming fundamentals in any modern language.
• At least one prior internship in a relevant engineering or backend/AI role.
• Genuine interest in distributed systems, serverless computing, and AI-powered product features.
• Sharp problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills, and an eagerness to learn how backend architecture supports AI from model training to real-time inference.
• Bonus: open-source contributions or backend/AI project experience.
