Resideo in Bengaluru is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate cloud-based IoT software for home security and automation. You will work on backend services powering consumer apps and web interfaces for millions of users.

You will drive ownership of modules, collaborate across global teams, apply best practices, CI/CD, and cybersecurity standards, and leverage AI tools to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.

Competenze

• 6+ years of hands-on software development with production cloud services.
• Degree in CS/CE/EC or related field.
• Proficient in C#/.NET Core with REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge of .NET internals; familiar with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cosmos, DynamoDB.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, AngularJS, HTML5 and CSS.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ownership of modules and ability to provide production support.

Join a dynamic software engineering team at Resideo that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex IoT software solutions. As an Advanced Software Engineer, you will work as part of a team of world‑class engineers, driving the success of our software engineering initiatives. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating sophisticated web systems and software for the latest home security and automation of IoT/connected devices. You will use your experience, technical and design skills to implement features targeted for the Security Intrusion and Comfort consumer services. These cloud services enable millions of end users (homeowners) to command and control their home or business from anywhere, anytime on any mobile devices; Control and manage the security system and smart home devices likes garage doors, thermostats, lights, locks, video doorbell, cameras, and more.

Job Duties

• Design and develop highly available, low-latency backend cloud services that power innovative, customer-facing applications for Resideo connected products and services.
• Develop responsive web interfaces and user experiences
• Design, build and integrate REST APIs.
• Take ownership of software components' design, driving development with best-in-class engineering practices including unit testing, static code analysis, and cybersecurity compliance
• Integrate the latest technology stacks into solutions within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Lead technical innovation by identifying opportunities for improvement and applying deep software engineering principles to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, technical teams, and customer operations to deliver exceptional user experience
• Foster growth and innovation by collaborating with some of the industry's brightest engineers and leveraging advanced AI tools to deliver impactful solutions
• Engage actively in agile ceremonies, sharing progress, asking insightful questions, and learning from peers, partners, and customers to continuously improve
• Provide technical support and guidance to resolve customer issues

YOU MUST HAVE

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience in software development, including designing, building, and maintaining production‑grade cloud services (Azure or equivalent)
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communications, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated experience with C#/.NET Core, with strong object‑oriented design principles and implementing REST APIs, microservices, and event‑driven architectures
• Deep understanding of .NET internals and familiarity with cloud relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and non‑relational (MongoDB, Cosmos, DynamoDB) database technologies
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, AngularJS, HTML5, and CSS.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of owning and driving modules / programs development with minimal supervision and ability to provide L3 support in a production environment, ensuring reliability and quick resolution of issues

• Experience with Agile/SCRUM, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Crucible, SonarQube, or similar
• Experience with multi‑region cloud architecture and development is a strong plus with developing IoT solutions: software, services, devices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across globally distributed project teams and stakeholders.
• Sound decision‑making under complexity, balancing systematic analysis with timely execution and adaptability, ability to quickly learn and apply new information, concepts, and technologies.
