Job summary

Gruve is seeking a backend engineer in Hyderabad, India, to design and optimize real-time audio and voice processing systems. You will work on end-to-end pipelines, from capture to streaming, leveraging Python and Node.js in production environments.

The role focuses on latency-sensitive architectures, integration with telephony and streaming protocols, and scalable real-time services across cloud platforms. Strong debugging skills and familiarity with Docker/CI/CD are essential.

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong focus on real-time systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Node.js in production environments.
• Proven experience building real-time audio or voice applications.
• Deep understanding of STT and TTS pipelines, audio codecs, and streaming concepts.
• Solid experience integrating telephony platforms (inbound/outbound calls, SIP, PSTN).
• Experience with WebSockets, WebRTC, or RTP-based streaming.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
