Role: Back End Engineer – India (Reporting to US Product Lead)

Location: India (Remote / Hybrid, with overlap to US time zones)

NeuronERP is redefining how enterprises run their operations by combining Oracle ERP systems with cutting‑edge AI/ML automation. We are an early‑stage, high‑velocity team building a category‑defining product, and we are looking for front end engineers in India who can turn complex enterprise workflows into simple, intuitive, and performant user experiences.

You will be part of our India-based engineering team and work closely with our US Product Lead and backend team to ship polished, production‑grade front end features that customers love.

What you will own

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that integrate Oracle ERP, AI/ML models, and NeuronERP’s custom logic.
• Implement product features and internal tools based on specs and priorities set by the US Product Lead.
• Own data flows between Oracle, NeuronERP backend, and AI/ML pipelines for modules such as AI Consultant, P2P, O2C, and analytics.
• Define AI Agents/Assistants workflow. Experience in OpenAI platform and Anthropic’s Claude is required.
• Ensure services are robust, observable, and secure, with appropriate logging, monitoring, and error handling.
• Collaborate with front end engineers to define efficient, clean API contracts.
• Work on performance optimization, scalability, and reliability for production workloads.
• Write unit/integration tests and contribute to CI/CD workflows.
• Participate in code reviews and help define backend engineering best practices for the India team.

The skills you bring

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 2–5 years of backend engineering experience building production services (B2B SaaS / enterprise products preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Python and at least one web framework (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; understanding of API versioning, authentication, and authorization.
• Solid understanding of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and data modeling; familiarity with ORMs or query builders.
• Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS/GCP/Azure) and with common services (queues, object storage, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containers and basic DevOps workflows (Docker, CI/CD pipelines) is a plus.
• Ability to translate product requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Comfortable collaborating asynchronously with a US-based Product Lead and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and a bias toward clear documentation and proactive risk‑raising.
• Bonus: Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems, AI/ML integrations, or working with large enterprise datasets.

• The US Product Lead can rely on you to deliver backend features on time with predictable quality.APIs are well‑documented and straightforward for front end and other consumers to use.
• Production issues decrease over time due to good observability, testing, and incident response.
• Your work directly enables measurable improvements in AI Consultant accuracy and end‑to‑end workflows (P2P, O2C, etc.).
