We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our emerging team.

Having a minimum of 2 years of experience in Backend Development and familiarity with front‑end technologies, you should be a team player with good organisational communication and time‑management skills. If you have experience in Node, PHP/MYSQL that’s awesome. CodeIgniter will be a plus.

As a backend developer you are essential in getting a project off and running, integrating user‑facing elements built by front‑end developers with server‑side logic, building libraries and reusable code for future use, and being responsible for:

• Coding and debugging
• Finding creative solutions to technical problems
• Building well‑designed, testable, and reliable backend code that can be reused
• Contributing to code reviews and technical architecture discussions and documentation
• Understanding programming techniques and tools, and the web development cycle
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries
• Troubleshooting and debugging applications
• Conducting UI tests and optimising performance
• Building security settings, restoring and backing up technologies for databases and websites
• Integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Following new and emerging technologies
