Job summary

TekWissen is seeking an experienced Backend Software Development Engineer III in Chennai to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and microservices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance enterprise solutions, with hybrid work model (4 days in office).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in backend application development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based application deployment.
• Proficiency in database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, performance optimization, and application security.
• Experience with CI/CD, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Agile development practices.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, architects, and product owners.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Promote improvements in programming practices, such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Optimize back-end infrastructure and deployment practices to improve application resiliency and reliability.
• Support security practices to safeguard user data including encryption and anonymization

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced Backend Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, APIs, GCP, and database technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and microservices while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance, and reliable enterprise solutions. Employees in this job function develop and maintain the back-end/ server-side parts of an application, typically consisting of APIs, databases and other services containing business logic. They work with various languages and tools to create and maintain services on-prem or in the cloud.
