Job summary

Rhohyve Ai Labs is seeking a senior backend engineer with 6+ years of experience in backend development and platform architecture. You will leverage Python and microservices to build scalable APIs, work with RESTful integrations, and manage data across NoSQL (MongoDB) and RDBMS systems.

Experience with Redis, Sanic, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployment is highly valued. You will thrive in an Agile team, participate in peer reviews, implement design patterns, and ensure robust performance

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in backend development, platform development and architecture.
• Expert knowledge of Python and microservices architecture.
• Solid experience integrating complex REST APIs, HTTP requests, XML and JSON formats.
• Understanding of platform components: database, API, caching, proxies and related web services.
• Understanding of NoSQL databases; MongoDB preferred.
• Understanding of RDBMS; familiarity with SQL databases.
• Experience with in-memory data stores; Redis preferred.
• Experience with Python web servers/frameworks; Sanic preferred.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and cloud deployment/formation technologies.
• Proficiency with Git, Azure DevOps, Markdown and Mermaids for documentation.
• Good knowledge of client-side build/config management.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Experience applying backend design patterns; peer code reviews and refactoring for performance.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities; excellent communication and self-organization.
• Experience in Agile scrum teams; proficient in browser-based debugging tools.
• Nice to have: Jenkins, AirFlow, Kafka, AWS services and Nginx.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend development and platform architecture efforts.
• Develop with Python and microservices; build and integrate REST APIs.
• Work with REST, XML/JSON data formats and external services.
• Understand and optimize platforms: databases, caching, proxies and web services.
• Design and optimize NoSQL (MongoDB) and RDBMS usage.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

6+ years of relevant experience in back-end development, platform development, and application architecture

Expert knowledge of Python and microservices architecture

Solid experience with integrating complex REST APIs, HTTP requests, XML, and JSON data formats

Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system

Understanding of NoSQL databases, MongoDB preferred

Understanding of RDBMS

Experience with in-memory data store, Redis preferred

Experience with Python web server / web framework, Sanic preferred

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or cloud deployment/formation technologies

Proficient with version control systems, issue trackers and documentation tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, markdown, mermaid diagrams).

Good knowledge and practical experience of client-side build/config management

Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

Proven experience with application of design patterns in back-end development

Experience with peer reviewing of source code, code refactoring for performance improvements

Ability to adapt quickly to shifts in priorities and objectives

Excellent communication skills

Self-driven, excellent self-organization skills with proven ability to work independently for achieving development objectives.

Experience in working in an Agile scrum team

Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving problems through browser-based developer tools.

Good to Have:
