Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a back-end developer to design, build, and optimize server-side systems and APIs powering AI products. This fully remote role spans India and offers flexible, hourly engagement with 10–40 hours per week.

You’ll work on data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and scalable microservices, collaborating with researchers and product leads across time zones. Remote work allows independent scheduling and meaningful project work.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more back end languages such as Python, Go, Java, Node.js, Rust.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Who You Are

Nice to Have

• Experience building infrastructure for machine learning or AI systems
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks (Apache Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or similar)
• Background in performance optimization, caching strategies, or high‑throughput systems
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Experience with serverless architectures or event‑driven design patterns
• Contributions to open‑source projects or a strong portfolio of personal/professional work
