Job summary

SQUIRCLE IT CONSULTING SERVICES PVT. LTD is hiring a Back-end Application Developer in Pune. The role requires hands-on Java/JEE backend development with Spring, Hibernate, REST and messaging frameworks. You will design secure, scalable services and contribute to TDD and code reviews in an Agile environment.

Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and uDeploy, plus GIT/SVN for source control, is essential. UNIX/Windows familiarity and SQL work are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of hands on experience in backend Java/JEE development and design.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate, and messaging/Web services.
• Design and write Java code with emphasis on security, stability and performance.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and XP practices (TDD, Pair Programming, Code Reviews).
• JUnit-based testing experience in Java/JEE environments.
• SQL design and queries; work with Oracle and DB2 databases.
• Knowledge of JVM, threads, and UML-based design artifacts.
• Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins and uDeploy; source control with GIT/SVN.
• Proficiency across Windows and UNIX environments; shell scripting and Perl a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services with robust security and performance.
• Collaborate in an Agile team to deliver scalable Java/JEE applications.
• Develop database schemas and SQL queries for Oracle/DB2.
• Create and maintain unit tests with JUnit; perform code reviews.
• Utilize CI/CD tools (Jenkins, uDeploy) and manage source control (GIT/SVN).

Back-end Application Developer

• At least 6 years of hands On Experience in designing and developing backend applications using Java, JEE Technologies like Spring Framework, Hibernate ,Websphere MQ, JDBC, XML,JMS and web services using REST,SOAP, JAX-RPC.
• Designing & writing Java code with Security, stability & Performance embedded from start.
• Experience on RUP, Agile/Scrum and Extreme Programming (Test Driven development, Pair Programming, Code Reviews).
• Experience in writing test-cases in Java/JEE environment using JUnit.
• Experience in Databases that involves Designing & writing SQL queries.
• Well Versed with DB such as Oracle & DB2
• Fundamental Knowledge of JVM and Java Threads.
• Should be well acquainted with Web/Application Architecture (Hardware/Software) with Sever topologies and Protocols Sequence, class and database diagrams are made using the UML design tool.
• Experience in using CI and tools such as Jenkins, uDeploy.
• Experience in working with different operating systems like Windows and UNIX.
• Experience in using Source Code maintenance tools GIT, SVN.
• Self-Motivated team player with flexibility to work on changing needs efficiently.
• Nice to have Experience in Shell Scripting, Pearl.
