Job summary

ClanX in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Backend Architect to own and evolve our distributed systems as the product scales across tenants. You will define boundaries, safety, and cost controls for AI-driven services, while ensuring correctness and performance under high load.

You will mentor the team, raise engineering standards, and make core build-vs-buy decisions. Expect 30/60/90 day milestones culminating in architecture ownership and practitioner-level influence across the platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend and distributed systems experience, ownership mindset.
• Strong data modelling, consistency, isolation and failure-mode judgment.
• Ability to bring calm and order to ambiguity, with mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture as the team and product scale several-fold.
• Design boundaries and safety for autonomous AI-driven systems.
