Job summary

Role Description

The Azure Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role involves managing cloud infrastructure, deploying and monitoring applications, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability and resiliency of critical services. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with development and operations teams, automating infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code, managing databases and storage, and troubleshooting issues across environments. The engineer will also contribute to security best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement of cloud architecture and DevOps processes. This is a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues across cloud infrastructure, applications, and networks.
• Experience with software development and programming in languages commonly used with Azure (such as C#, .NET, Python, or PowerShell).
• Hands-on expertise with infrastructure design and management on Azure, including virtual networks, compute, storage, and security services.
• Knowledge of databases, including Azure SQL Database, NoSQL solutions, and best practices for performance, backup, and recovery.
• Practical experience with Azure services (e.g., App Services, AKS, Functions, Azure DevOps, ARM/Bicep/Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management (Azure AD), compliance, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document architectures and operational procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant Azure certifications (such as Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Azure Solutions Architect) are an advantage.
