Job summary

CG-VAK Software & Exports Ltd. is seeking a senior Azure DevOps Lead to own end-to-end cloud-native delivery. The role focuses on CI/CD, IaC, and secure, scalable platform design using Azure services, Terraform, AKS, and related tooling.

You will mentor teams, drive best practices for pipeline authoring, and contribute to architecture documentation and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cloud-native delivery using Azure DevOps with end-to-end ownership.
• 6+ years in cloud-native delivery; 3+ years in Azure (recent).
• Hands-on with Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Boards in Azure DevOps.
• Mentoring teams on Git workflows, pipeline authoring, and IaC best practices.
• Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Deep experience with Terraform for IaC and IaC tooling like ARM/Bicep.
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, especially AKS.
• Familiarity with secrets management (Azure Key Vault, Vault) and networking.
• Experience from B2B IT services or IT consulting is preferred.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, and/or Terraform for repeatable environment provisioning.
• Containerize applications (Docker) and manage container orchestration platforms such as AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
• Automate build, test, release, and rollback processes; integrate automated testing and quality gates into pipelines.
• Monitor and improve platform reliability and observability using logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Drive platform security and compliance through pipeline controls, secrets management (Key Vault / Vault), and secure configuration practices.
• Implement cost-optimization and governance for Azure resources (tags, policies, budgets).

Ideal Candidate

• Strong Azure DevOps Lead Profile with end-to-end CI/CD, IaC, and cloud-native delivery ownership
• Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have 6+ years of total experience in cloud-native application delivery, of which 3+ years must be in Azure (recent)
• Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have deep, hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Services like Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and Boards
• Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have hands-on experience handling and mentoring a team, guiding developers on Git workflows, pipeline authoring, IaC best practices, and cloud-native design.
• Mandatory (Tech skill 1) – Must have solid experience in CI/CD design and YAML pipeline authoring, including automation of build, test, release, and rollback processes with quality gates.
• Mandatory (Tech skill 2) – Must have strong hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform for repeatable environment provisioning; ARM templates or Bicep in addition is an advantage.
• Mandatory (Tech skill 3) – Must have hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes, specifically AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
• Mandatory (Tech skill 4) – Must have hands-on scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.
• Mandatory (Tech skill 5) – Must have experience with Git workflows — branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Mandatory (Tech skill 6) – Must have familiarity with configuration management and secrets management (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault)
• Mandatory (Tech skill 7) – Must have an understanding of networking, identity (Azure AD), and security fundamentals in Azure
• Mandatory (Tech skill 8) – Must have strong troubleshooting, debugging, and incident response skills, with the ability to perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Mandatory (Company) – Must come from a B2B IT services or IT consulting background
• Mandatory (Communication) – Must have good collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams.
• Preferred (Certification) – AZ-400 (Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert), AZ-104, AZ-305, or Terraform Associate.
• Preferred (Experience) – Experience with observability tooling (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Prometheus, Grafana), Azure cost-optimization and governance, and maintaining runbooks, playbooks, and reusable pipeline templates.
