Job summary

SS Consultancy seeks a Software Engineer - DevOps to join our Mumbai office in a full-time role. You will work on end-to-end release cycles of our SaaS platform, deploying and automating infrastructure on AWS/Azure and private clouds.

The position requires hands-on scripting, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and strong collaboration across global teams. We value 2-4 years of DevOps experience, strong problem-solving, and a passion for scalable, reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of IT experience with DevOps focus.
• Hands-on deployment to AWS/Azure and private cloud.
• Experience with Linux/Windows environments and scripting (Shell, Python, Perl).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end release lifecycle for applications from a DevOps perspective.
• Deploy, automate infrastructure as code, and manage public cloud and private cloud environments.
• Ensure availability, performance, scalability and security of systems.
• Participate in code reviews and build scalable, extensible architectures.
• Implement monitoring and incident response for SaaS platforms.
• Drive improvements to processes and release management across distributed teams.

Job Title: Software Engineer - DevOps/ Bhandup Mumbai / WFO

Experience: 2-4 years

PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work independently / part of the team to contribute primarily in development phase of an automated
• End-to-end release life cycle for applications from a DevOps stand point
• Develop and implement best possible technical solution, according to the design documents, to solve the business

problems related to DevOps taking into consideration dependencies and risks

• Deploy, automate (infrastructure as code), maintain and manage public Azure / AWS and/or private cloud-based

SaaS platform

• Ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of software systems
• Participate in development reviews and contribute towards building scalable and extensible

architectures in DevOps domain

• Implement industry leading monitoring methodologies and capabilities for clients SaaS and Cloud Platform
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
• Make recommendations for improvement of infrastructure, technology, operational capability, reliability and

performance as required by clients needs

• Deploy web-based applications
• Design and run a robust release management process that can support distributed dev teams
• Drive improvements to processes and design enhancements to continuously improve the production environment

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 2 to 4 years of overall experience in IT with experience in DevOps based technical

solutioning, development and implementation of enterprise applications

• Hands-on experience in development and deploying software in Public (AWS)/ AZURE and/or Private cloud

environment

• Hands-on experience in Windows, Linux/Unix environment and scripting languages: Shell, Perl, Python and Databases

(SQL/NoSQL)

• Hands-on experience in deployment orchestration technologies like Docker Container, Rancher, Kubernetes and scripting
• Experience in setup and managing Dev and Test (Pre-Production) environment
• Experience in implementing continuous integration using Maven, Jenkins, AzureDevops, Bamboo, etc. and parallel

development, branching strategies and methodologies using GIT

• Good to strong communications and ability to collaborate effectively in a geographically disperse

working environment,

• Ability to adapt to time critical deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Professional commitment, detail oriented, high focus on quality, passion for learning new skills

Good understanding of application, information and network security concepts

• Experience with IIS/Nginx/Apache/Tomcat based web applications and services (SOAP, REST, etc.) and monitoring tools

like Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK

• Strong background in AWS, Git / Bitbucket Administration
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
