Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join a collaborative team responsible for managing daily DevOps requests and ensuring high-quality delivery. You will design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage Azure resources, and implement IaC with ARM/Bicep/Terraform while enforcing policy and standards.

The role focuses on release management, monitoring, and continuous improvement across projects, with close coordination with developers, testers, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Azure DevOps and cloud services.
• Proficient with YAML-based pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with IaC tools like ARM, Bicep, Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Policies and security/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to handle daily DevOps requests.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and version control practices.
• Own release management, including build, deployment, artifact management, and environment configuration.
• Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources and services per project requirements.
• Implement IaC using ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
• Enforce and monitor Azure Policies to ensure compliance across environments.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment, and production issues.
• Support migration initiatives, standardization, and platform modernization.
• Work with stakeholders to prioritize workload and ensure timely delivery.
• Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and SOPs.

We are looking for a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer who can work effectively as part of a larger team to manage daily incoming requests and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, managing Azure services, and enforcing engineering standards and policies across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a larger cross-functional team (developers, architects, testers, operations) to handle and deliver on daily DevOps requests.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and version control best practices (Azure Repos, Git).
• Own release management, including build, deployment, artifact management, and environment configuration.
• Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources and services as per project requirements.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
• Enforce and monitor Azure Policies to ensure compliance and standardization across environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in build, deployment, and production environments.
• Support migration initiatives, standardization efforts, and platform modernization activities.
• Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and manage workload, ensuring timely and quality delivery of all DevOps tasks.
• Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
