Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Pune is hiring for a data engineering role requiring 5+ years of hands-on PySpark and Python experience. The position emphasizes large-scale data processing, SQL database skills and exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics and Hadoop ecosystem.

You will work with tools like Jupyter, PyCharm and IDLE, and manage Conda environments. Walk-in interviews are invited from 9am-1pm on 1st Aug ‘26.

Qualifications

• Strong design and data solutioning skills.
• PySpark hands-on experience with complex transformations and large dataset handling.
• Good command and hands-on experience in Python; experience with listed concepts, packages and tools.
• Object oriented and functional programming.
• Jupyter, PyCharm and IDLE; Conda and Virtual Environment.
• Hive, HBase or similar; Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server—any one database.
• Oracle PL/SQL or T-SQL experience; Azure Synapse Analytics a double plus.
• Understanding of Hadoop ecosystem; Hadoop experience a plus.
• NLTK, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strong design and data solutioning for scalable data pipelines.
• Hands-on PySpark with large dataset transformations.
• Develop in Python and manage environments, notebooks and IDEs.
• Work with Hive/HBase or similar databases and SQL variants.
• Explore Azure Synapse Analytics and Hadoop ecosystem improvements.
• Leverage ML libraries like NLTK, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras when applicable.
