The role sits in a fast‑paced professional services environment delivering data modernization, real‑time analytics, and ETL/ELT solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Role: Azure Data Engineer (On‑site, India)

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end data ingestion and transformation pipelines on Azure to support analytics and reporting requirements.
• DevelopDescriptions ‘and optimize PySpark and SQL‑based ETL/ELT jobs in Azure Databricks and Synapse to deliver reliable data products.
• Build and maintain data lake architectures using ADLS Gen2, ensuring partitioning, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Implement CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, and deployment automation for data platform components to ensure repeatable releases.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and operations teams to define data contracts, quality checks, and monitoring/alerting.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, implement performance tuning, and document runbooks and best‑practice patterns.
