Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Solution Architecture / Data Engineering.
• Strong experience in Azure Data Architecture and Solution Design.
• Hands-on with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS Gen2, and SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Lake, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, and data modelling.
• Experience with SAP data ecosystem and SAP-Azure integration, including S/4HANA/ECC/BW/ Datasphere.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable Azure-based enterprise data solutions.
• Define data architecture, data models, integration patterns, pipelines, security, and governance.
• Design integration between SAP systems and Azure data platforms.
• Architect data ingestion and integration from SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, HANA, and Datasphere.
• Design modern Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Lakehouse architectures.
• Lead architecture discussions, workshops, POCs, and solution reviews.
• Provide technical guidance to data engineers and development teams.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Architect with strong expertise in Data Architecture, Solution Design, Azure Data Services, and SAP ecosystem integration.

The candidate should have proven experience in designing end-to-end enterprise data solutions and integrating SAP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA or SAP Datasphere with Microsoft Azure data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable Azure-based enterprise data solutions.
• Define data architecture, data models, integration patterns, pipelines, security, and governance.
• Design integration between SAP systems and Azure data platforms.
• Architect data ingestion and integration from SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, HANA, and Datasphere.
• Design modern Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Lakehouse architectures.
• Work with business, SAP, cloud, data engineering, and technology teams to define technical solutions.
• Create HLD, LLD, architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Design and review solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL and Microsoft Fabric.
• Define ETL/ELT, batch and real-time data integration approaches.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, scalability, performance, availability, and cost optimization.
• Lead architecture discussions, technical workshops, POCs, and solution reviews.
• Provide technical guidance to data engineers and development teams.

Mandatory Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Solution Architecture / Data Engineering.
• Strong experience in Azure Data Architecture and Solution Design.
• Hands-on architecture experience with:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
  • Azure SQL / SQL Server
  • Microsoft Fabric
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Lake, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT and Data Modelling.
• Strong experience with SAP data ecosystem and SAP-Azure integration.
• Experience with one or more SAP platforms: S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, HANA, SAP Datasphere.
• Good understanding of SAP APIs, OData, CDS Views, IDocs, RFC/BAPI, SLT or similar integration mechanisms.
• Experience designing enterprise-level data integration and analytics solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Azure Data Engineer Associate.
• SAP certifications.
• Experience with Power BI / Enterprise BI architecture.
• Experience in SAP-to-cloud migration and modernization.
