Qualifications

• Proven background in Azure IAAS administration, DevOps, and on-premises virtualization.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Proficient in PowerShell or Azure CLI scripting.
• Familiarity with Azure Well-Architected Framework focusing on reliability and operational excellence.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104 certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and implement projects for Azure IAAS and DevOps.
• Compute: Provision, resize, manage VMs, patching, VHDs, failover recovery.
• Storage: Configure Azure storage, disks, blobs, backups and disaster recovery.
• Networking: Create VNets, subnets, routing, VPNs, IPs and NSGs.
• Identity: Manage Azure AD, RBAC, MFA and security policies.
• Monitoring & cost optimization: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, rightsizing, cost tracking.
• Automation: Use PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform to automate provisioning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for upgrades and migrations.

Core Requirements & Skills:

• Experience: Proven background in Azure IAAS administration, DevOps plus exposure to on premises virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware), and system administration.


• Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing, and hybrid cloud connectivity.


• Scripting Proficiency: Ability to write and troubleshoot scripts using PowerShell or Azure CLI.


• Frameworks: Familiarity with the Azure Well-Architected Framework principles, focusing on reliability and operational excellence.


• Certifications: The Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (Exam AZ-104)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Technical Support & Implement Projects for Azure IAAS & support Devops


• Compute (Virtual Machines): Provision, resize, and manage Windows and Linux virtual machines. Handle patch management, virtual hard disks, and fail-over recovery.


• Storage Management: Configure and manage Azure storage accounts, disks, and blob storage. Implement automated backups, archiving, and disaster recovery policies.


• Networking Configurations: Establish Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, routing paths, and site-to-site VPNs. Manage public and private IP addresses and network security groups.


• Identity and Access: Manage Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID). Configure Role Based Access Control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication, and security policies.


• Monitoring & Cost Optimization: Track resource utilization using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. Identify orphaned resources, optimize virtual machine sizing, and track costs.


• Automation: Use PowerShell, Azure CLI, or infrastructure-as-code (like Terraform) to automate routine provisioning and administrative tasks.


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
